that is changing fast to become electrified, digital, and connected, it takes a diverse range of teams to make Volkswagen Group successful, but all share the same aim:
to deliver sustainable, profitable growth, drive up market share, improve customer satisfaction, and strive to be the best employer in the automotive sector.
Building on the success of introducing eArcu's Talent Acquisition tech to support the recruitment strategy, the recruitment team set out to create a diverse Graduate and Undergraduate Programme, utilising their tech to support the full journey. The programme target was set to recruit 6 undergraduate and 9 graduate positions to cover roles across the group, covering all six brands.
Early Careers programmes have always been critical to supporting the vision of the Volkswagen Group.
A business committed to employing and developing the very best talent in the industry.
A variety of channels were used to support the programmes, as well as a range of traditional marketing methods to attract the audience. Blogs and social media platforms, including Facebook, had dedicated pages created specifically for the Undergraduate and Graduate programmes.
sharing top tips and insights about the application steps, key dates, what to expect, and experiences shared from previous undergraduates and graduates.
To ensure the campaigns were consistently on brand throughout the selection process, email templates, communications, careers site pages and assessment tests were all managed through the Talent Suite tech platform to ensure consistency and efficiency.
Volkswagen Group not only produced a candidate-friendly career site but also achieved results with a higher completion rate, with an impressive 82% of those invited successfully completing their interview; a significant increase in the overall quality of hire; as well as a 55% increase in diversity, which is well above the national average.
They increased their candidate engagement by 30%, improved their shortlisting, and reduced their career site bounce rate by 15%.
